Flowers Are People, Too (FAPT) is a book series written by Joseph Nano, who is Syrian American. When Nano started his freshman year in Maine, his English was poor. He learned how to write poems in his English III class, junior year. Then, he decided to share with his friends what he had experienced and seen in his life by writing a poetry book. Nano believes that people should learn and see what’s happening around the world to end the spread of terrorism. In his poems, Nano shares insights into Middle Eastern culture and some of the challenges he has faced since arriving in the United States.
Flowers Are People, Too Part II: Reality

Flowers Are People, Too (FAPT) is a book series written by Joseph Nano. Nano started writing poetry in his English III class, junior year at high school. In FAPT Part I, Nano shares his experience as a Syrian immigrant and a student at Falmouth High School. In Flowers Are People, Too Part II: Reality, Nano gives insight into family life, college life, the power of patriotism, immigration, and climate change. This book will be released Summer 2021.
Controversies in Biology and Neuroscience

During his senior year at Boston College, Joseph Nano took graduate science courses that inspired him to write his first science book. Nano became the first Boston College student to earn a bachelor of science degree in both Biology and Neuroscience, and he decided to write a book that shares some of his best work from his graduate and undergraduate courses at Boston College. In Controversies in Biology and Neuroscience, Nano tackles some of the current controversies in biology and neuroscience and proposes some experiments and possible solutions. All chapters were reviewed and graded by his college science professors before publication. This book will be released Fall 2021.
